The Original Board for the Tennessee Radio Hall of Fame

In December, 2010, our "core group" of founding members met to begin the process  of creating the Tennessee Radio Hall of Fame organization. Our acting Board of Directors includes, in addition to those shown in the photo above:

Phil Valentine
David Carroll
Mark Damon
and Mike Bohan.

In the fall of 2011, Treasurer and founding Board member Lucinda Shore resigned; in January, 2012, founding Board member Scott Shelton passed away; and in February, 2012, founding Board member Jack Williams resigned.

In our early meetings, we drafted a set of bylaws, decided how many and what committees were needed, and other details critical to launching our project. In January, we met again and approved our bylaws, elected our officers and finalized our "Acting Board of Directors". The Board then elected a slate of officers to serve during the organization's first year. In May, 2012, at our first 'official' full membership meeting, elections will be held for both officers and Board Members. Currently serving are:

Lee Dorman, President and Executive Director
Buddy Sadler, Vice-President
Cathy Martindale, Secretary/Treasurer
Dave Nichols, Historian
Whit Adamson, Parliamentarian

In addition to our Board of Directors, we are fortunate to have a number of respected, experienced radio people who have agreed to serve on our Advisory Board. These folks would have been members of the Board of Directors, but either no longer live in Tennessee, and would find it inconvenient to attend all of our meetings, or felt they did not have the time to do so. Instead, they have agreed to advise and consult our organization, and give us the benefit of their knowledge and experience. They include:
